DisplayPort (Male) to DVI (Female) Coverter
Easily connect your DisplayPort output device to any DVI device with this simple adapter!
This passive DisplayPort (male) to DVI (female) adapter allows you to use DVI-D or digital DVI-I displays on Display Port sources. It is not bi-directional, and can only support video signals native to both DP and DVI up to a maximum of 1080p at 24bpp. Other computer resolutions may be achieveable depending on your equipment.
Compatibility
Please note that not all DisplayPort sources are equal, so you should check your product manual for D++ compatibility to ensure functionality with this adapter. Suitable for all digital DVI displays including Televisions and PC Monitors. This adaptor is not bi-directional, and does not convert DVI to DisplayPort.
Technical Information
The DisplayPort adapter supports 1, 2, or 4 data pairs in a Main Link that also carries clock and optional audio signals, each with a symbol rate of 1.62 Gbps or 2.7 Gbps. The video signal path supports from 6 to 16 bits per colour channel. A bi-directional auxiliary channel (at a constant 1 Mbps) carries management and device control data for the Main Link. This adapter supports a maximum of 10.8 Gbps over a distance of 2 meters. DVI cable not included.

DisplayPort Compatibility Note
DisplayPort (DP) adapters are not bi-directional, and require a DP output which is DP++ (Dual Mode) compatible. When a DisplayPort to DVI adapter is connected to a DP++ (Dual-Mode) output, the output device senses the presence of the adaptor and sends DVI signals over the DisplayPort connector rather than DisplayPort signals. No signal conversion is performed by the adapter. DVI signals are merely passed through.
